Region & tourism
THIEMBRONNE, CENTRALLY HELD IN HAUTS-DE-FRANCE
This region in the most northern area of France, Hauts-de France, probably has the most divers interesting, rich and congenial offerings of the entire country. For over a millennium the paths from Britain, Flanders and France cross here: merchants, pilgrims, clergy, and sadly, also armies. This history shows itself in a fabulous heritage, ranging from gothic architecture, antique monastery furniture and art treasures to 20th century war bunkers. The village Thiembronne has a small pub: ‘Chez Brigitte’ and a small grocery store.
